Workaround for E-mailed Plans Not to Scale

To request and save a to-scale copy of a plan in TIF format

Plans requested by E-mail through Teraview are provided in PDF format and are not to scale.

Please follow the steps below to request and save a to-scale copy of a plan in TIF format.

 

  1. Open Windows Explorer and go to directory c:\program files(X86)\teranet\teraview 8\blobsdirectoryblobs
  2. In Teraview, view the plan/plans you require. Do not log out of Teraview until you have completed Step 3 as the files are deleted from this directory upon logout.
  1. Go back to the directory and there will be files with the extension “.blob”. For example: _33_PLAN001_I_1.blob, _33_PLAN001_I_2.blob. Copy (not move) these files to a directory of your choosing.

  1. After the file has been copied, rename the file extension from “.blob” to “.tif” by right clicking on the file and selecting Rename from the dropdown menu.

Note: This directory is cleared at initial login to Teraview and logout. The more instruments viewed, the more files will appear in this directory.
