Welcome to the Portas PASS Help Centre, where you can manage your Teraview password and token.

If you intend to sign and register documents in the land registry, you will need to request a token in the RSA Token options when you fill out the Portas® Personal Security License and RSA Token Application.

Hard Token (fob): Complete the Authorized Services Application and Payment form and the Authorized Group Services form. On the Authorized Group Services form, under User Name, add the name of the person for whom the hard token is being purchased and in the RSA Token column, select Yes. These forms must be signed by your Account Holder Representative. The token will be sent to you in the mail. Once you receive it, you can register it in Portas PASS.

Soft Token (smartphone app): Download the RSA Authenticator (SecurID) app from your smartphone’s app store. Once you have installed it, you can register it in Portas PASS.

Manage Your RSA Token

To register your Soft Token:

1. You will need to visit your smartphone’s app store and download the RSA Authenticator (SecurID) app (you can search it in the app store’s search bar) in order to sign documents in Teraview.

2. Go to Portas PASS.

3. Enter your Teraview Account and User Name.

Tip: You can find these in your original Getting Started in Teraview email.

4. Follow the prompts to validate your user, create your password, and complete your security questions (if needed).

5. From the Token Administration options, select Soft Token.

6. On the Administer Soft Token screen, select your Device Type and then open the RSA Authenticator (SecurID) app on your smartphone (if you have not downloaded it from your smartphone’s app store, you will need to do it now).

Tip: To find your Binding ID, select the MORE option in the lower right-hand corner of your phone, then select the About arrow. The Binding ID displays. If you can’t find the MORE option, you may need to select the Back arrow on your smartphone screen. Do not select the Get Started option.

7. Enter the Binding ID (or Device ID), and select Submit.

8. A Token Password will display in Portas PASS. Make sure to note this password or take a screen shot before selecting Back to Administration.

9. An email will be sent to you with a file attached. Open this email on your phone.

Note: If the email address registered with Teraview is not accessible on your phone, forward the email to an email address that you can access through your phone.
 
10. Open the file in the email (depending on your phone type, you may be prompted to open the file with an app via share, or it may open automatically).

11. In the RSA Authenticator (SecurID) app, enter the Token Password from the Portas PASS screen.

Note: The password is case sensitive.  

A success message will display.  

Note: Once you have completed these steps, your token will be activated within 24 hours.

To register your Hard Token:

1. Go to Portas PASS.  

2. Enter your Teraview Account and User Name.

Tip: You can find these in your original Getting Started in Teraview email.

3. Follow the prompts to validate your user, create your password, and complete your security questions.

4. From the Token Administration options, select Hard Token.

5. Find the serial number on the back of your token. On the RSA Token Administration Page, from the drop down list, select your serial number and then click Submit.

6. Follow the rest of the on-screen instructions.

Note: Once you have completed these steps, your profile will be activated within 24 hours and you can log into Teraview.

Note: To switch to the more convenient, transferable, and longer-lasting (14 years for a soft token vs. five years for a hard token) Soft Token, contact Teraview Customer Service.

To resynchronize your token:

1. Log into Portas PASS and answer the required Security Questions.

2. On the Administration page, select Resynchronize Token.

The Resynchronize Token page opens.

3. Enter the Current Token Code value in that field.

4. Wait until the token value changes, then enter the Next Token Code value in that field.

5. Select Submit.

Your token is resynchronized.

Select Logout, or select Back to Administration if you’d like to perform other administrative tasks in Portas PASS.

To test your token:

1. Log into Portas PASS and answer the required Security Questions.

2. On the Administration page, select Test Token. 

The Test Token screen displays.

3. Enter the code from your device into the Token Code field.

4. Select Continue.

Your token is validated.

Select Logout, or select Back to Administration if you’d like to perform other administrative tasks in Portas PASS.

To unlock your token:

1. Log into Portas PASS and answer the required Security Questions.

2. On the Administration page, select Unlock Token.

Your token is unlocked and can now be used to sign Instruments in Teraview.

Select Logout, or select Back to Administration if you’d like to perform other administrative tasks in Portas PASS.

Manage Your Password

To reset your password:

1. Log into Portas PASS and answer the required Security Questions.

2. On the Administration page, select Reset Password.

The Reset Password screen displays.

3. Following the Password Rules, enter and confirm your new password.

4. Select Reset Password.

You can use your new password the next time you log into Teraview.

Select Logout, or select Back to Administration if you’d like to perform other administrative tasks in Portas PASS.

To unlock your password:

1. Log into Portas PASS and answer the required Security Questions.

2. On the Administration page, select Unlock Password.

Your password is unlocked.

Select Logout, or select Back to Administration if you wish to perform other administrative tasks in Portas PASS.
