Recommended Teraview System Requirements

Teraview 6.0 Updated Recommended System Requirements:
- Operating System: Windows® 2000 or 32-bit versions of Windows® XP SP2 & SP3 Home edition and Windows® XP SP2 & SP3 Professional edition or *32-bit versions of Windows® Vista Business Edition or Windows® Vista Home Basic Edition
- Pentium® IV or higher processor with 512 MB of RAM(1)
- Up to 1.7 GB of free hard disk space is required for full installation of the Teraview software (including maps) (2)
- CD-ROM drive for installation from CD
- 3 1/2" diskette drive or an available USB port and valid removable USB storage device
- The ability to display a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels (800 x 600 minimum)
- Internet Explorer Access
- Laser Printer with minimum 4 MB of RAM compatible with PCL 5, 5e or 6 and the ability to print legal size documents
- Users must have First-party cookies enabled
- Users must have their browsers set to the default configuration in order to obtain new Teraview release auto updates and installations.
- Users must have an internet service provider that is registered in Canada. Access to the Teraview software outside of Canada is prohibited.
- Users must have the Microsoft® Windows® Installer version 3.1 or higher on their PC to successfully install Teraview 6.0.
(1) Minimum requirement is Pentium III processor with 128 MB of RAM with at least 370 MB of free hard disk space
(2) The minimum requirement free hard disk space for Teramap, the mapping component of Teraview, is 1.3 GB to install all available LRO maps.
(*) 64-bit versions of Windows® Vista Business Edition or Windows® Vista Home Basic Edition are not supported
Valid Removable Storage Device Requirements
- A storage device that is assigned a drive letter by the operating system
- Excludes internal/external CD-ROM/DVD-ROM
- Security profile must be stored in the root directory
- Types of valid removable storage devices include:
- CF Compact Flash
- Microdrive
- SD Secure Digital
- SM Smart Media
- MMC MultiMedia Card
- MS Memory Stick
- xD-Picture Card
- Portable USB Drives
Note: Teraview PCs located in the LRO provide diskette and USB access only.
Additional Information
Users must have local administrator rights to the PC in order to install the Teraview software.
Teraview does not support 64-bit versions of Windows XP SP2 and Vista.
Teraview requires Adobe® Reader® 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 or 9.0 in order to view images.
Software application performance on a PC is dependent on the specific hardware set up,
other software in use, and the type of local Internet and/or network connection.
Users must have first-party cookies enabled.
Users must have their browsers set to the default configuration in order to obtain new Teraview release auto updates and installations.
Users must have an ISP registered in Canada to download Teraview software.
Users must ensure that PC time and time zone settings are correct.
Microsoft Outlook Express Users:
Depending on how Microsoft Outlook Express is configured on your PC, it may prevent .pdf, .tif and .txt attachments from opening correctly. If you are experiencing this issue, we suggest the following options for viewing documents in the Teraview software:
- View documents online in the Teraview software
- See the Microsoft Support Notice at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q329570
- Send documents to be viewed by email to another email application
