The Teraview gateway provides Ontario's legal community with the technology

the land registry office. The Teraview software contains two value
added tools: e-reg and WritSearch.
Each offers different solutions in specific practice areas and makes Teraview a complete online

Electronic commerce is revolutionizing the way business is done, and land
titles registrations are no exception. In particular, the Teraview
e-reg capability has been designed to streamline, modernize and enhance Ontario's
land registration system. Through e-reg land title documents can be easily
created and submitted to the POLARIS database.
In 1994, to set the framework for electronic land registration, a joint
committee of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar
Association, Ontario reviewed existing practice standards for electronic
registration of real estate title documents. New standards were developed
and are available on the Law Society of Upper Canada web site at
www.lsuc.on.ca.
The latest release of Teraview, Teraview 5.1, is now available through the BAR-eX marketplace. BAR-eX, a joint initiative between Teranet Enterprises Inc., the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Lawyers Professional Indemnity Company, is a unique internet based service that allows lawyers operating in the province of Ontario to access a wide variety of legal research resources, products and services including the award winning Teraview gateway software. Registration for Bar-eX is free and it takes only a minute.
