Law Society Amends Rules to protect access to Teraview software and electronic land registration system
Rule 5.01 of the Law Society's Rules of Professional Conduct forbids lawyers from delegating their Teraview personal security diskettes to non-lawyer employees, conveyancers or other members of the public. Law Times, July 15, 2002.
Scarborough Law Firm hits Half Million Mark
Cathy Wiseman, law clerk with Goldstein, Rosen & Rassos, electronically submitted the 500,000th electronic land registration on May 28, 2002. Teranet recognized the half million milestone by presenting the Scarborough law firm with a $500 restaurant gift certificate and a plaque honouring their role.
